I ordered two tacos 🌮 and expected them to look like something from Taco Hell. LOL These people make sure you do not go home hungry! Delicious, delicious, delicious!
My favorite place to eat in town, the formula is quite simple:
Pork enchilada, order of rice, and 1 cup of salsa.
Pour the salsa on the rice and scoop rice in with bites of your enchilada.
It's the only reason I return to Hutchinson Kansas.
For breakfast, go for the bacon burrito or ranchero bowl. Banger, every single time.
Will the food take a while? Yes, because it's being made as soon as you order it. (Much like Freddy's) However, it's worth the wait. Assuming the customers aren't wrapped out past the street 😳
First of off, if they are going to continue to take orders through the drive thru, they need to get their intercom working. We ordered, they couldn't obviously hear us and we definitely couldn't understand them. Get up to get our food, was wrong. So told them and they were going to fix it and bring it out to us. Still didn't get it right so they once again had to go back in and get what they didn't get. They should have offered to remake it all because now we have set there while the first part of our order was already getting cold and soggy. Let alone at some point they didn't charge us the right amount, okay can understand that the 1st time, but try ended up charging my cc 3 times. Let alone being charge for regular sauce when we should have got 1 for each item, wasn't like we had asked for extra. I would have been more understanding if they would have just offered to remake everything, once they realized that the order was not right, instead of leaving us with cold, soggy food.
The intercom has been an ongoing issue. We went a few weeks ago, but had gone in...but we had heard them having problems hearing people order, and people having problems hearing them. Figured that it would have been taken care of by now.
Know that I was over charged for things that I didn't even order. Let alone to charge my cc 3 times, because they couldn't seem to get the order right. We don't eat out much...but I can tell you that if the way the service is, know that it will be a long time if ever that we go back. Had always been one of our favorite places, not so much after this experience!!!
Usually very good, but went there tonight for a quick bite and sauce was spilt all over bag and box of food. No tomatoes or lettuce like usual... forgot my ONE drink. Food is all smashed together, not even in proper spots.. don’t know what happened but this was disappointing.
Stopped in on a quick trip from out of town and NEEDED the enchiladas. It had been too long since I last had them. Even better than I remembered. I got one cheese, one pork (red chili), and one chicken. I'm ready to drive three hours back to get some more. Also everyone I spoke to was very friendly.
Spent eighteen dollars on food tonight. The refried beans tasted old and spoiled. There food been going down hill for long time but this was worst. Never going back. Threw 18 dollars in the trash.
If you like the flour tortilla chips I mentioned, from Carlos O'Kelly's, how about a hot, fresh, WHOLE POUND of them to-go?! (Yes, 16 oz! to eat in sweatpants while binge watching true crime shows.) You can also get them with cinnamon sugar on them, of course, then you'll have to refer to them as sopapillas (sounds like soap-ah-PEE-yahs) Delish! And pretty cheap, too, like $4 or $5. The cinnamon sugar ones are more expensive, but, so is crack and these are about as addictive. I sometimes call ahead an order to take to a party or event where you're supposed to bring finger-foods.
It used to be a bank, if memory serves, so it feels kinda cool to pull away from the drive thru with more than a butterscotch disc or peppermint, now.
The staff is always clean and fast and friendly.
It's also mucho el yummyo, here! Try it!
We go every Saturday and get steak burritos and they're always wonderful!
